As a sponsor of Special Olympics Virginia, we are actively involved in supporting the organization in their marketing and event planning of two annual events, Bracket Mania and Dulles Day Plane Pull. Our redesign of the Dulles Day Plane Pull logo won a 2005 Apex Award of Excellence, and kicked off a successful series of marketing collateral for attendees and sponsors of the event. In addition, we created a promotional DVD for Special Olympics, and organized professional athletes who signed autographs as well as joined our plane pull team. In 2005, we helped develop the first annual Bus Pull event, running a trial competition at our summer camp to determine parameters and guidelines, in preparation for its inaugural event at Dulles Day.
DMB Sports has received the 2009 Awards for Publication Excellence for the redesign of the Dulles Day Plane Pull events website.
