Staff Brent Miller, Programming ManagerBrent Miller was a Physical Education Teacher and Coach for eight years, working both in Baltimore County, MD and Loudoun County, VA. Miller has experience coaching Water Polo, Swimming, and Lacrosse at the High School level. He served as the first varsity swim coach and men’s varsity lacrosse coach at Stone Bridge High School. He was named the Washington Post: Loudoun Extra’s Women’s Swim Coach of the Year in 2002 and the Men’s Lacrosse Coach of the Year in 2003. In 2003 he led the Stone Bridge lacrosse team to both the Dulles District Regular Season and Tournament Titles. Miller left the education field to obtain his Master’s Degree in Sport Administration from Florida State University. While in Tallahassee, Brent gained valuable experience interning with Seminole Athletic Marketing, assisting with the marketing and promotion of all Florida State athletic teams. To complete his degree he performed a three month internship within the marketing department at Comcast SportsNet in Bethesda, MD. Education: West Virginia University, 1995, B.S. Physical Education Teaching; Florida State University, 2005, M.S. Sport Administration Sports: Competitive swimmer from age 4-18. Ran Indoor Track and played Lacrosse in High School. He has competed in multiple triathlons: Sprint, Olympic, and Half-Ironman distances. Miller is an avid runner and the 2006 Marine Corps. Marathon was his third marathon. Best Sport Accomplishments: Completed the 2000 Great Chesapeake Bay Swim (4.4 Miles); Completed the 2004 Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco, CA. |
